Wine sail on the Rhône : between Saint-Joseph and Hermitage

Come and spend an unforgettable summer evening on board the « Canotiers » ! Sail the Rhône River between the Hermitage and Saint-Joseph hillsides on an elegant wooden boat and discover the scenic landscapes of these two appellations.
Enjoy a tasting of 3 wines (Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Hermitage) paired with a selection of local cheese, cold meats and bread. Children will be offered a local fruit juice.

Wine sail on the Rhône : wine and cheese pairing

Cheese lovers ? This evening is for you ! Discover the wine and cheese pairing on an elegant wooden boat and discover the scenic landscapes of the appellations of Saint-Joseph and Hermitage. Enjoy the comments of our wine expert who will talk about the pairings, the appellations, the terroir and others characteristics of the north of Rhône Valley.
Four wines will be paired with four local cheeses. You will have the chance to move through the boat and enjoy the different points of view. Children will be offered a local fruit juice.

Off-road e-scooter tour in the vineyards

Come and try a new experience: discover the vineyards with an off-road e-scooter! Your e-scooter guide will take you on a 1-hour fun and sporty tour on the Hermitage hill. These all-terrain e-scooters are easy to drive, silent, environment friendly and will give you great gliding sensations. Without even getting tired, you will be able to reach the top of the hill and admire the amazing landscape. Once you are back at Cave de Tain, the activity will conclude with a private wine tasting with your personal guide.

→ Appointment 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the tour.

Off-road e-scooter tour in the vineyards with a wine-expert

You feel like going on a e-scooter tour in the vineyard with your own personal wine expert? No problem! Choose the longer tour with both your e-scooter and wine guides. You will enjoy a fun off-road experience on the Hermitage hill and in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. This tour includes longer breaks than on the 1-hour tour which will allow you to ask all your questions about the vineyards and the wines to your wine expert. The all-terrain e-scooters are easy to drive, silent, environment friendly and will give you great gliding sensations. Without even getting tired, you will be able to reach the top of the hill and admire the amazing landscape. Once you are back at Cave de Tain, the activity will conclude with a private wine tasting of best plots wines with selected local products (cheese, cold meats, bread, etc.).

Wine and cheese tasting

How to pair wine and cheese ? Are you still hesitating when choosing the wine to go with the cheese ? White wine or red wine ? Soft dough or hard dough ?
Led by one of our wine experts, you will enjoy a tasting of 4 cheeses paired with 4 wines of Cave de Tain. This one-hour workshop will help you learn the basics of a successful wine and cheese pairing !
A memorable and educational tasting which is made for the cheese lovers !

Wine and chocolate tasting 1,5h

Wine and Chocolate, the two jewels of our area, are meant to be pairing and invite you to a greedy experience. We invite you on a gastronomical journey led by a wine expert from Terres de Syrah and a chocolate expert from Valrhona’s Cité du Chocolat. Let them guide you through a stunning tasting and pairing of 4 wines and 8 chocolates.
A decadent experience !

Hike on the Hermitage hill

Put on your hiking boots and follow your guide on the discovery tour of the renowned Hermitage hill, pride of the Northern Rhône Valley vineyards.
Take a walk in the steep hillsides and let your guide tell you everything about the secrets of our appellations: diversity of terroirs, grape varieties, wines, terraced vineyards, breathtaking landscapes… Feel free to ask your wine guide all your questions as they will be happy to share their knowledge and experience with you.
At the conclusion of your guided vineyard exploration, you will carry on with a private wine tasting back at Cave de Tain.

→ Steep hike trail: make sure you are wearing proper trail shoes/hiking boots and bring a bottle of water. The hike may be adapted on request.

Segway ride on Hermitage hill 1,5h

Discover the vineyards on a Segway®! Enjoy a supervised and commented tour in the vineyards with your Segway® guide. While learning all about its history, you will effortlessly climb up the Hermitage hill. From there you will be able to admire the breathtaking landscapes of our region: the Rhone river winding its way through the vineyards and villages towards the South, with the pre-Alps in the background! The tour will conclude at Cave de Tain with a private wine tasting with your personal wine expert.

Segway ride on Hemitage hill 2h

Discover Hermitage hill like you never did before with this 2-hour ride in segway. During this ride, you will cross the slopes of Hermitage hill and discover one of the most famous appellation of the North of Rhône Valley. Then, you will have also the opportunity to reach another well-known appellation : Crozes-Hermitage. Enjoy the expertise of François and Céline, true ambassadors of the North of Rhône Valley. We can adapt the track on request.
Back at Cave de Tain, you will follow this experience by the wine tasting of our Crus.[nbsp]
