Guided historical tour of the Château

In the heart of the Languedoc region, a few kilometers away from the city of Carcassonne, the Château de Pennautier is  a prestigious site for heritage, wine and the art of living. Classified as a historical monument, it was built in 1620, visited by King Louis XIII in 1622, and influenced by the Versailles style. The architect Le Vau contributed to its construction and its park, classified as a Remarkable Garden. It was designed by the landscape architect Le Nôtre.

Private visits are available throughout the year, for groups of 8 people or more, outside of the scheduled summer visits (Wednesdays and Fridays at 11am).

Come and spend half a day at the Château de Pennautier! Between Historic Monument, works of art, park classified as Remarkable Garden, vineyards, vineyard path, cellars, restaurant, store. It is a complete course around history, vines and the wine that we offer:

Guided tour of the Château, visit of the cellars and discovery tasting with our sommelier, followed by a lunch at our the restaurant (starter, main course, dessert of your choice with a glass of wine).

We welcome you all year round for a meal or a gourmet break to accompany the discovery of our wines.

Our Chef, Franck Debethune, offers a seasonal cuisine, entirely home-made, simple and tasty. It combines regional specialities with fresh and authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

In addition to our dishes à la carte, we offer 2 formulas:

– Complete formula with starter, main course, dessert + 1 glass of wine at 39€.

– Sommelier’s formula with starter, main course, dessert and wine pairing (1 glass per course) at 52€.

Children under 11 years old can enjoy a special formula at 14€ including a mini starter, grilled meat or fish dish and an ice cream for dessert.
