Barrel tasting
This offer includes an explicative visit of the vines, the vat room, and the barrel cellar
After this visit, you will have a tasting directly in the barrel of the 2020 vintage, which includes the discovery of the 3 red wines produced at the Château aged in 3 different barrels. The cellar manager or his assistant will give you all the explanations to help you discover the nuances and particularities of each ageing process.
At the end of this visit, you will be invited to the commented tasting of the magnificent 2016, 2017, and 2018 vintages which come in 3 vintages produced at Château Clarisse.

Bought in 2009 by Olivia and Didier Le Calvez and renamed by their daughter’s first name, this magnificient vineyard of 21 ha is situated on the pitoresque plateau of Saint-Emilion .
A family project for an elegant and harmonious wine resulting from the fine balance between Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The entire cycle of our winemaking is based on the respect of the nature, its authenticity and balance. Château Clarisse obtained organic certification in 2019 and is now turning towards to biodynamics thanks to the tailor-made support of Jacques Fourès. Needless to say, that the challenge set at the beginning of this adventure, to produce a high quality wine from year to year, by now has successufully been take up.
Among the connoisseurs, the Clarisse wine is a reference to the powerful and dense wine, but also velvety and silky at the same time. “This shows real depth and power with so much vine bark, mushroom and currant aromas and flavors. Full and chewy. Excellent. Old vine wine that is truly a dream. Best ever.” (2015 Château Clarisse Vieilles Vignes – James Suckling Notation :94-95)
